The world turned pink in the Summer of 2023! Greta Gerwig’s ‘Barbie’ was a global phenomenon, with much of it’s success due to the ingenious marketing efforts. We supported with an incredible UK & Ireland social campaign that drove the buzz and made ‘Barbie’ a part of the conversation everywhere across all social channels. We tailored content for the different platform behaviours and audiences, tapped into key dates and cultural moments, and filmed the UK tour and European premiere to edit engaging social-first content and live feed content, delivering millions of views and engagement. We used an amplification strategy to enhance positive word-of-mouth associations sharing reviews and social reactions, and heavily pushed release messaging, publicity moments, featurettes and soundtrack content, all to help bolster the FOMO feeling through the campaign timeline.
